Specialising in demolition permits, BA&A is a proud member of the Demolition & Asbestos Industry Association.

The certification process differs slightly for demolition work. It is required to hold the demolition permit for 5 business days after lodging the application with Council before issuing the demolition permit to the Applicant.

Due to this legislative requirement, our team ensures to get your demolition application approved the first time, on time.

We give our clients the opportunity to take control of their building approvals through our online portal by:

  • Submitting their own application (allowing us to invoice right away)

  • Checking on project status

  • Uploading documents (certificates, photos)

  • Downloading approval and final documents

Documentation required to get started

  • Lot and plan details

  • Site address

  • Owners authority (template can be provided)

  • Signed engagement agreement with certification company

"Thanks for the great ongoing service. Keep up the good work!"

Terms you need to know

Asbestos Clearance Certificate: a safety compliant document stating that a thorough inspection was carried out on a building / structure that has undergone asbestos removal and declaring the area safe to be occupied. The inspection must be carried out by an A class asbestos assessor, entirely independent from the company in charge of the asbestos removal process.

Form 4: document organised by a plumber and reporting the capping or sealing of the sewer.

Form 21: this is the final certificate issued by the certifier to the owner and Council in order to finalise the building application.

We've created a set of brochures for each of our services to help simplify the certification process.
